The Prospector’s Curse is a western-themed horror film which has just wrapped production and is currently in post production in Toronto, Canada. Set during the Klondike Gold Rush of the 1890’s, Theodore “Tubby” Ellsworth and Jack smith are two criminals on the run, lost in the untamed wilderness. When they stumble across a mutilated Prospector, dying on Indian ground, they promise to give him a Christian burial. The fugitives break their oath and steal the old man’s gold…but that night, the Prospector’s corpse returns to make them pay. At this point in time I have to say I'm not sure if he come back as a zombie, demon, ghost or ghoul, I'm guessing zombie. I'm also not sure of the running time of the film but I'll bring you more info when I know. The Prospector’s Curse is Written and Directed by Josh Heisie (www.joshheisie.com) and Produced by Bruno Marino (‘Anything Goes’). I'm looking forward to watching this one, lets hope the film is as good as the Tagline.... "There’s blood in them there hills!" Five minutes after posting the pilot of Livin' with Steve I found the youtube video of Episode 1, Scamming with Steve. It's below, enjoy... Steve is sick and Nate needs money. The solution? Pull off a disability insurance scam! However when a doctor arrives to inspect Steve, he discovered that Steve's illness is far more severe than Nate could have imagined. Introducing a new animated series from Movie Extra WebFest - "Livin With Steve" I like cartoons and I like Zombies, Livin' With Steve is the perfect blend of both. Created down in South Australia it looks like they have seven episodes planned so far to be released around about now. You can watch the pilot below and see some links below.... In Pine Falls, a secluded and usually peaceful town, multiple acts of dismemberment and cannibalism have been reported. Nate, an unemployed teenager, is too caught up in his own world to notice or even care. For Nate, a terrible tragedy is when he can't find the time to hang out with his best friend Steve. Steve is a wise cracking, quick thinking, loyal friend- at least that's how Nate sees it. The reality is that Steve a Zombie; a living corpse, infected by an infection that raises the dead, giving them an unquenchable desire to feed on human flesh. Despite his gruesome appearance and lack of social skills, the people of Pine Falls consider Steve to be nothing more than Nate's handsome friend, until it’s too late. Ever wanted to make a movie with a zombie in it but it's feels like a huge daunting task? Look what the guys over at Side Films have done. This zombie short film is under 2 minutes long, has nice FX, gore and a twist. Good job guys. Night of the Little Dead was produced and co-directed by Frank Ippolito and Ezekiel Zabrowski of Ghost Works and stars a cast of familiar faces. Bill Moseley from "The Devil’s Rejects", Penn Jillette from "Penn & Teller" and Adam Savage from the TV series "Mythbusters". This Tale of horror takes place in the normally quiet little fisher mans bar named Sadie 'n Sadie's Grub n Grub, locals meet to have a beer and talk about the "one that got away". After a short introduction to the locals a pair of cocky guys burst in and proceed to announce how they are going to catch the biggest fish of all. After swigging down a beer they leave and the next time we see them it is complete chaos. As you might of guessed from the title Night of the Little People has Zombie Midgets/Dwarfs/Little People in it and they are pretty darn scary looking. This well produced and filmed short has a great feeling to it. I love movies that have just the one setting, being inside the bar we are never really sure whats going on outside which makes it more suspenseful. There are rumors that it maybe being made into a full length feature and we are hoping that it does. We are also hoping to bring you an interview with one or both of the directors....stay tuned.
