ZombiesDrule thinks..Zombie David and I had just watched House of the Dead, we new we would have to watch House of the Dead 2 at some point, after about 20 minutes of trying to think of an excuse not to, we did. Firstly I would luck to thank the gods for making Uwe Boll unavailable for directing. As with the first House of the Dead, House of the Dead 2 is also loosely based off the video game, thankfully this time there are no stupid cuts to clips from the game. Also for the second film they decided to try something new, they added a story. What a difference this makes! The second House of the Dead film has some story links to the first film, we have the zombie girl who brought the virus or disease back to the mainland. She is imprisoned in a lab by a crazy scientist looking for a way to bring people back to life. He succeeds and then gets bitten by his creation, this causes everything to go to hell. Time to send in the soldiers, lead by our two main characters, Ellis (Ed Quinn) and Alexandra 'Nightingale' Morgan (Emmanuelle Vaugier, who looked absolutely stunning). This film is worth a watch so I don't want to give too much away, let's just say soldiers kill zombies, zombies bite solders, zombie solders bite soldiers and soldiers kill zombie soldiers etc For a straight to TV movie it's pretty good, maybe some of it is to do with the fact that we just watched the first one, and anything would of been better. The story and acting were both convincing, some of the characters may of been a little to stereotypical. Also for a TV movie the zombie effects were good. I hope that Uwe Boll watched this film and learnt a thing or two, but I doubt it judging by what I have read on IMDB.
