ZombieDrule thinks..It's time for a flash back to the 90’s well with better graphics, better controls & a hell of a lot more zombie brains being spilled! In House of the Dead: Overkill for the Wii your playing in the year 1991, 7 years before the events that conspired from the Original House of the Dead. You play as AMS Special Agent G from the original game, you were sent to a small town in Louisiana to investigate a series of strange disappearances and hunt down a crazed crime lord, Papa Caesar. Until your confronted by mutants (aka-zombies) in which then your forced into partnering with a loud mouthed unorthodox detective named Isaac Washington whose seeking vengeance for his father who was killed by Papa Caesar. This game has its ups & downs I’ll start with the downs first. Horrible voice acting, Sega I know you wanted this game to be really bad ass but after a while the cursing starts to get a little annoying. Glitches! When ever you get to a new stage the game starts glitching, I though we were in 2010? I know you wanted the game to be set in the 90’s but did you really have to use the technology of the 90’s as well Sega? Cut scenes what can you say I think the editor should be fired! Now for the upsides of this game. Its not your average kid friendly Wii game there’s blood, cursing, & killing, finally a Wii game for people who don’t believe in Santa and if you do believe in Santa & your not a kid anymore please go talk to your parents. The Soundtrack is one of best I’ve heard in a while it really sticks to the vintage theme the game is going for. Graphics are amazingly good this is probably one of the best looking games on the Wii, its very 70’s grind house like. Co-op fits perfect with the game only it may be a bit easy at times since the game is not that difficult. Considering all the ups & downs this is worth a check out especially for any of you who own a Wii & vomit at the site of Mario. |
