ZombiesDrule thinks..Ever play the game "Left 4 Dead"? "La Horde" reminded me very much of that game. Considering that "Left 4 Dead" is setup to be like a horror film it's really more a compliment to the film rather than an insult. "La Horde" follows a group of corrupt cops as they seek revenge for the murder of one of their own by a group of gangsters. After their attempt ambush of the gangsters' apartment goes horribly wrong a boatload of zombies show up in the middle of the stand off. Which as we all know can only exacerbate the matter. The only choice now is for the two groups to go their separate ways and die, or join together and survive. This movie was cool... really cool, actually. The was lots of tension leading up to the zombies so by the time they showed up I was already invested in the film. There were tons of zombies, way more zombies than I was expecting to see. And the zombies died in very gruesome ways. The music was well done as well. It really helped push the tension the characters were feeling towards one another and the massive horde of zombies. The biggest drawback of the film was that it was difficult to follow. It may of been bad translation in parts but there seemed to be some strange moments from characters that didn't make any sense. They gave me the feeling of being lost in translation. But those moments were few enough to not sour me on the great experience that was "La Horde". "La Horde" is one of the most realistic zombie films I think I have ever seen. If you haven't seen it, watch it.
