Sam Wineman entered Musical of the living Dead into the Olympus PEN your story challenge.Unfortunately Sam didn't make it to the next round, but he still has plans to make this webisode series a reality!! |

ZombiesDrule contacted Sam and this is what he had to say...
ZombiesDrule - Are you still planing to make Musial of the Living Dead?
Sam - I am. The video I posted is now the trailer, as I see it, to a project I am still very excited about. I have a lot of ideas I can't wait to set into motion; the video you've seen is only the tip of the iceberg.
ZD - Have you considered making Musial of the Living Dead as an animation? The ZombiesDrule readers responded to it in a very positive way.
Sam - That's great to hear! I've had an incredible amount of positive feedback about the animation style I used, which was - admittedly - out of sheer desperation. My camera broke and I didn't have anything to shoot video footage with so it was back to the drawing board. Literally. As a result of the responses I've had from viewers, I've decided to continue this method of animation as I move forward with Musical of the Living Dead.
ZD - Will Musial of the Living Dead be your first Zombie Movie? Have you made any other Movies?
Sam - It would be my first zombie "movie", but not my first zombie creation. I wrote a song called "Meet Me At South Coast Plaza" that was the precursor to this project, as well as several non-living-dead-related comedy videos under my band name "Anywhere But My Face." While videos are nothing new to me, this will be my first web series.
ZD - What is your favorite Zombie Movie?
Sam - My favorite zombie movie is Dawn of the Dead, although campy favorites include Nightmare City and Night of the Comet. I am also a big fan of the Resident Evil series and 28 Days Later.
ZD - Worst Zombie Movie?
Sam - Worst is most definitely "Burial Ground" where the paper-mache zombies bleed green and the 30 year old man playing the little boy just creeps me out. On second thought, I may move this to my favorite list.
ZD - Which do you prefer, Fast or Slow Zombies?
Sam - Fast zombies - it's impossible for them to sneak up on you.
ZD - What is next for you? What will your next movie be?
Sam - Musical of the Living Dead is getting most of my focus right now, from soundtrack to animation. Unless you mean what is the next movie I'm going to watch, in which case I have the European cut of Dawn of the Dead in my Netflix queue. Can't wait to see it through Argento's eyes!
