Hmmm. A horror film with zombielike elements is how I would classify this movie. Not really a true zombie film to the core, but at the same time more zombieish then some of the other movies pretending to be zombie films.

"Prince of Darkness" is about a group of college students who are asked to take part of a mysterious study. Presumably for extra credit or something, I don't know it was kind of hard to follow. But when they're studying this mysterious strange things start to happen. Maybe the uber creepy church that your study is taking place in should of tipped you off or the hundreds of brainwashed homeless that hover the church at all hours. One of them even looked like Alice Cooper. These are all signs you're doing something you shouldn't be.

Well despite not really being a zombie film and more of a possession film, the movie was actually alright. In standard John Carpenter fashion a nice mix of scariness and humour. The film by itself would probably rank a 3, but I'm going to dock it half a star for not really being a zombie film.
