This is the story of a viral apocalypse, and you know what that means....Zombies. The film tells the story through the eyes of the news media using a chronological collection of news reports. It follows the epidemic from outbreak of the virus through to the collapse of society seven weeks later.

Returner is being produced and filmed by an independent film production company called Unlit Vistas, who are based in New Zealand. Unlit Vistas likes its horror movies, they currently have two films in pre-production, Returner and Mezzo Al Bosco. They are also fans of using a more traditional style of horror film making, going back to practical effects and make up, instead of so many people who just go straight down the computer route.
