The zombie fans out there who have already seen this film will be saying, “Why is he doing a review for The Dark Lurking? It’s not a zombie movie” Well the answer is this movie is also known as Alien vs Zombies, so I pretty much have to do a review. Plus I sat though it so I may as well, if only to warn you.

Yes there are some aliens in the movie, and yes they infect people, but these people don’t really turn into Zombies, they just kind of mutate. Once mutated they don’t fight the Aliens, this film really should of been 
called “Aliens and Mutations vs Humans”

OK so on to the review.  

I think this film had a story, but I really didn’t understand much of it, and then it ended. That’s not very clear is it, you know when you have a dream,wake up and think wow I have to tell people about my awesome dream.Then at work you start telling a college about the dream, but the more you explain it, the more it does’nt make sense and then you start feeling silly because you realize it was crap. Well that is kind of like this film's story. 
The characters are not introduced to us and you never really care for them, and I never really understood the why behind the aliens or zombies.
If you want action, guns, shouting, blood and gore then there is plenty. The acting is OK in places, but the writing is very repetitive, some of the actors said the same thing about 10 times.

This film was obviously influenced by the Alien films, it had the same kind of feel, but was nowhere near as good. The sets were again just ok, the Aliens were ok, the props were ok. I guess what I’m saying is it was 
just OK.

Bottom line, it’s not a zombie movie.
