ZombieDrule thinks..The Rage was written and directed by Robert Kurtzman, that name may sound familiar to you as he has worked on hundreds of films and is widely known as a special FX master. So from that you would expect the FX to be really good and for most of the film they are, it's a shame that the script and acting were so bad. The Rage is about a crazed Russian scientist (yes another one) who discovered the cure for cancer, he was ignored by his colleges, his work was destroyed and he was locked up as a madman. Released many years later he moved to a house in the middle of nowhere, America. He then did what any insane Doctor would do, he started plotting revenge on mankind by developing a virus containing pure rage. The virus would turn the subject into a undead maniac that would run around biting and eating people, those that escaped with wounds would then become infected thus spreading the virus. Dr Viktor was then going to provide a cure once his cancer research was returned to him... see he's not all bad. Of course things go wrong, one of his test subjects escapes, dies and gets eaten by vultures. Like any clever virus it mutates and the vultures turn into crazed man eating vultures. The story continues from there with the usual horror movie cliché. The Rage With it's horrible script and bad acting made me slightly angry. So the FX well as I said earlier they are mostly good, the make up was very good but the Vultures, let me talk about the Vultures. BAD, bad, bad...Part CG, part puppet, all BAD. I started my career out as a puppet maker and puppeteer so I know what I'm talking about, I now work in CG, and I can tell you this is bad CG. If you need a horror movie to play in the background and like over the top gore with skulls splitting, birds pecking eyes out and gallons of blood pouring everywhere this movie could be for you. Other wise... na
