ZombiesDrule thinks..This was one of the silliest zombie films I've ever seen, and that's saying something. "Tokyo Zombie" follows two factory co-workers who spend their days training the ways of jujitsu. After stopping off at Black Fuji, a mountain created from garbage and dead bodies, to dispose of their recently deceased boss the two return to their workplace to continue practising jujitsu. Only their dead shows up as well. In fact all the dead from Black Fuji have risen and are feeding off the living. The two set out for Russia in order to refine their martial arts techniques and become ultimate fighters. This movie was everything I hope a zombie film is going to be when I start watching them. Funny, silly, and full of zombies. "Tokyo Zombie" excelled in making a fun zombie film that kept us laughing the whole way through. It's hard to find many faults in the film, but there were a few things that kind of stood out from the rest of the film. The film itself was a little long and probably could of been easily 10 or 15 minutes shorter. There were also very awkward flashbacks to scenes of a school teacher abusing the main character as a school boy in a sexual manner. There's not many things that can make me feel uncomfortable when watching a film any more but these scenes definitely didn't sit well. Fortunately they were only for a small part of the film and somewhat related to the story... somewhat. And that school teacher gets his junk bitten off by a zombie so all's well that ends well.
Best Line - Either, " I'm going to hit you, after we get somewhere safe I'm going to hit you hard" or " You have the face of a guy that's been 'done' by another guy" Best Weapon - Fire Extinguisher |
