When we watch these Zombi movies I can't help but wonder why people continue to go back to this island of the dead that people keep disappearing on. I guess in the first couple of sequels they were different characters. And this one seems to be a different island. But wait a second our main character starts on the island as a little girl and comes back to it when she's grown up? I guess maybe there's some truth behind those blonde jokes.

Jenny is just a little girl when she flees from the island that her parents were killed by some voodoo zombies. Her parents were part of a medical science team looking for a cure for cancer, but the team ended up angering a voodoo priest who then raises the dead to exact revenge. 20 years or so later Jenny is on her way back to the island with a group of her friends, and seemingly no recollection or idea about the island or the events that happened there years ago... Seriously she just happens to be on a boat with some friends who are taking her back to the exact same island her parents were eaten alive on and she just goes along with it... Wow!

So apart from the ridiculous plot and the fact that the medical research team act more like military soldiers (no wonder they pissed off the local voodoo priest) the movie wasn't all crap. Yes the acting was horrible and yes the story didn't make a lick of sense but since when do most zombie films make sense or have decent acting? The zombies were pretty cool and the ending was unexpected. Bizarre but unexpected. For an average zombie film it certainly tried to break the mold. Unfortunately sometimes when you try and break the mold you end up ruining your zombie film.
